After studying at Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, ZALDY kick-started his fashion career as a runway model and fixture in the downtown New York club circuit, where he met event producer Suzanne Bartsch. This relationship led to collaborations and image consulting with companies such as Donna Karan, Shiseido, and M.A.C.

Zaldy has worked with music industry icons such as Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Mick Jagger, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Hilary Duff, Halle Berry, the Scissor Sisters, and Rufus Wainwright.

Zaldy is currently the costume designer responsible for the glamorous and jaw-droppingly gorgeous gowns worn by Ru on RuPaul’s Drag Race. He recently won his third Emmy for Outstanding Costumes in Variety, Nonfiction, and Reality Programming at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
