AB+DM is an award winning American fashion photography and creative directing duo made up of by Ahmad Barber and Donté Maurice. Through their professional chemistry and understanding of photography, AB+DM has managed to foster in-depth connections to their illustrious subjects in ways, that not only allow their images to stand apart, but to be revered. Together, their work gives an endearing approach to fashion and portraiture.
Since forming their creative bond, the fashion photography duo has created renowned images for leading fashion and lifestyle publications including Vogue, Instyle, Elle, Marie Claire, Interview, CR Fashion Book, i-D, Essence and American and British editions of GQ. Ahmad Barber and Donte Maurice has worked with the likes of Zendaya, Lady Gaga, Mary J Blige, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Cardi B, Lizzo, and many more. The duo has worked on major campaigns for Lancome, L'Oreal, Reebok, New Balance, Bevel, Pureology and Warby Parker.
Through their shared experiences, the two consistently create images that speak directly to their own individual journeys, and unabashedly of the world they hope to create as they continue to expand the visual vocabulary of AB+DM.
Stepping into position as Photo and Art Directors for Black Fashion Fair, AB+DM helped shoot and creative direct two covers for the inaugural issue entitled “Volume 0: Seen”.
AB+DM often work in New York and Los Angeles.
